2022 Rose Care Masterclass

Volunteers at the Remember Me Rose Garden recently attended a Rose Care MasterClass led by Stephen Scanniello, curator at the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden, New York Botanical Garden. The breakfast presentation and on-site class was hosted by Scanniello, an internationally acclaimed rosarian, author and gardener, who instructed volunteers about proper rose care, including pruning and feeding as the Remember Me Rose Garden prepares for the summer tourist season. Volunteers trimmed more than 400 Julie Andrews roses, mulched and conducted general site clean-up. The rose garden is open 365 days-a-year.
